Uses

Conbextra EP 10 is a two part epoxy resin system for grout ing gaps ranging from 0.25mm to 9mm. It is an all liquid system consisting of a base and hardener.

Exotherm

All epoxy systems will develop a temperature rise on mixing. Its extent will be a function of the volume to surface ratio, the ambient temperature as well as the mass and thermal conduct trinity of the surrounding materials. Contact FortiMix BD Construction for specific data on each product.

Application instructions

Prepare the surface and seal the cracks with a sealing com pound which can also be used for bonding injection nipples. Depending on the crack width and depth the distance between nipples should be 200 to 500 mm.

Mixing and placing

Pour all the contents of the hardener pack into the base con tainer. Mix using a slow speed power mixer for 60 seconds. Use a suitable pressure pump for injecting the material into cracks. Properties

The following results are typical for the hardener grout at 30 deg.C. For filling cracks of more than 10mm and using as an epoxy mortar Conbextra EP 10 has to be mixed with clean graded quartz sand from 1:3 to 1:6 parts by weight depending on the consistency required. Mixing can be done with a paddle fitted to a drilling machine.

Cleaning

All tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with Nitoflor Sol. Spillages should be absorbed with sand or sawdust and disposed in accordance with local regulations.

Chemical resistance

Conbextra EP 10 is resistant to oil, grease, fats, most chemicals, mild acids and alkalis, fresh and sea water.

Limitations Temperature

During application

Grouting may be carried out without special precautions at ambient temperatures from 50 to 350C.

In service

The cured material is suitable for use from 00C.

Storage

All Conbextra EP 10 products has a shelf life of 12 months in unopened container under normal warehouse conditions. Precautions

Health and Safety

Conbextra EP 10 : Contains resins which may cause sensitisation by skin contact. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of vapor. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Barrier creams provide additional skin protection. Should accidental skin contact occur, remove immediately with a resin removing cream, followed by soap and water. Do not use solvent. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention immediately - do not induce vomiting.

Fire

Nitoflor Sol is flammable. In the even of fire extinguish with CO2 or foam.

Flash point : 330C

Keep away from sources of ignition - no smoking. Wear suit able protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Use only in well ventilated area.
