Fischer FIS EM Plus 390 S Epoxy Mortar

High-Performance Injection Mortar for Heavy Load Anchoring Resin for Cracked & Non-Cracked Concrete

Product description:

The Fischer FIS EM Plus 390 S is a premium two-component epoxy injection mortar designed for secure anchoring in both cracked and non-cracked concrete. Backed by ETA approvals and engineered for high load capacity, this epoxy mortar is ideal for structural reinforcements, rebar connections, seismic retrofit, heavy steel anchoring, and demanding construction environment applications.

Why choose FIS EM Plus 390 S?

  • Optimized resin formulation yields enhanced load values in both cracked and non-cracked concrete.

  • Approved for diamond-drilled and water-filled drill holes, offering versatility under varied site conditions.

  • Validated for seismic zones with performance categories C1 and C2, ensuring resilience under dynamic loads.

  • Reliable performance at low temperatures (down to –5 °C) supports cold weather installations.

  • ETA assessment guarantees a service life of 100 years, and expert reports even extend this to 120 years.

  • Capable of anchoring rebar diameters from 8 mm up to 40 mm, accommodating a wide range of structural requirements.

Whether for retrofits, expansion joints, or high-load anchoring in concrete structures, FIS EM Plus 390 S delivers robust and durable bonding.

Applications

  • Post-installed rebar connections in existing concrete

  • Shear connectors, concrete layer jointers

  • Heavy steel structures, rail fixings, tall shelving systems

How It Works

FIS EM Plus 390 S comes as a dual-component cartridge (resin + hardener). The two materials remain separated until extrusion through the included static mixer (FIS MR Plus), ensuring correct mixing only at point of use.

The mortar is injected bubble-free from the base of the drilled hole, fully bonding the anchor rod (or rebar) to the concrete wall surfaces and sealing the bore hole. In push-through installation, the annular gap between the anchor and the fixture is filled with the epoxy mortar.

Anchors such as Fischer FIS A threaded rods or internal threaded anchor RG M I (for temporary fixings) are compatible, giving flexibility in the design of embedment depth and load transfer.

Benefits & Advantages

  • Superior adhesion and load performance, even in cracked concrete

  • Durable under environmental and structural stress

  • Works under wet or flooded conditions — approved for use in water-filled drill holes

  • Suitable for seismic zones (C1, C2 performance)

  • Usable in low temperatures (down to –5 °C)

  • ETA-backed service life of 100 years (up to 120 years via expert report)

  • Simplified installation with pre-measured cartridges and static mixer

  • Compatible with various anchor rods and systems

Installation / Usage Guidelines (Brief)

  1. Drill hole to specification (diameter, depth)

  2. Clean thoroughly (blow & brush / vacuum)

  3. Insert static mixer and begin injection from bottom

  4. Insert anchor or rebar while rotating slightly

  5. Allow curing (refer to curing times in technical datasheet)

  6. Apply design loads after full cure
